Volunteers

Kansas City Fashion Week is looking for several volunteers for our Spring 2012 shows.  We are looking for hardworking individuals with a passion in the fashion and arts industry.  We would not be able to put on a production like this without the hard work from our volunteers.  There are a variety of volunteer jobs and shifts available.  Please read through the volunteer job descriptions and complete the volunteer application form below.

Event Set-up: 

Event Set-up staff will help with set-up of the runway on February 23, 24, 25 and 26th.  Tasks will include placing tables and chairs, table settings, cleaning, hanging banners, etc.  You will be able to see first hand everything that goes on behind the scenes at KCFW.

Event Tear-Down & Clean-Up:

Tear down chairs, tables, linens, clean, etc.  Shifts are available immediately following each show.

Designer Representative:

You will be responsible for working with your assigned designer and their team and help make sure that they are organized and ready to go backstage.  It will be your job to solve any issues that arise in the dressing room and make sure your designer’s models do NOT miss their cues.

Backstage Crew member:

You will be responsible for setting up the backstage area prior to the show, helping with model line-up, sending models on to the runway and maintaining security at stage doors.

Event Host/Hostess:

You will be welcoming guests, directing them where to go, helping them find their seats, and circulating around the ballroom to answer any questions that may come up from guests.

Admissions/Ticketing:

Responsible for admission into event and selling ticktes at our General Admission, Reserved Seating and VIP areas.

Floater:

As a floater, you will not have an assigned job until you arrive the day and time you are scheduled.  You may be asked to do a variety of tasks from helping with set-up, to customer service, to helping backstage.  Wherever KCFW needs an extra person, that's where you'll be.
